Wilton House Supercars: 14/08/11

The PistonHeads-supported event is almost here, but the show content continues to be improved!

Wilton House Supercars 2011 is almost upon us, and as the day approaches the Wilton team continue to add even more content to the PistonHeads-sponsored event.

In total there will be more than 300 cars on display, so not only will you see around 150 of the very best supercars in the country, but you will also see fantastic classic cars, new models from manufacturers and car club displays. In addition to the display cars there will be more than 400 PHers' cars in a parking area adjacent to the main show. (If you haven't signed up to park with PH yet, we'll tell you how to do so later in this story.)

Lord Pembroke and the team have done a sterling job to get so many cars on display and the event will feature everything from an F40 to an F1 car, with all manner of exotica in-between. And as if the static displays weren't enough, you will be able to see car club parade laps, an aerobatic display over the grounds of the house and while you are looking up, keep an eye out for a parachute display team too. As an additional treat, you will even be able to peruse the PistonHeads merchandise emporium as we will have a stand set up close to the PistonHeads parking area.

Tickets are still available to buy online, but you can buy on the gate at £10 per person (£5 for children aged between 5-15) if you prefer.

And if you plan to attend, why not park with other PHers in the special PH parking area? To sign up all you need to do is add your name to the calendar here, and make sure you print out this sheet to show to the marshals on the gate. By displaying this you will be pointed to the correct parking area, so it's very important that you remember to take a copy with you on the day.

As is now the norm for a PistonHeads Sunday meet, we will be asking you to vote for your favourite car in the PH parking area. To do so, all you need to do is e-mail us at sundayservice@pistonheads.com and tell us what car caught your eye on the day. The car that recieves the most votes on the day will win a prize from the PH team.

Wilton House Supercars is a charity event that supports the Stars Appeal. The Stars Appeal is a Salisbury District Hospital charity of which Lord Pembroke is the president. The Appeal makes a difference for patients at Salisbury District Hospital by funding extra care, facilities and equipment above and beyond that provided by the NHS.

Recently the Stars Appeal funded £1million of extras in the state-of-the-art new Children’s Unit at Salisbury District Hospital. This will help ensure over 10,000 local children and families each year receive the best possible care - money from previous Supercar days helped to make this possible. To learn more about the charity please visit their website.

We are really looking forward to seeing you all there on the day.

I am still hoping to be there, plans for a good hoon down there have been scuppered somewhat by a guy last night swerving to avoid a pheasant and slamming into the side of my car on a dual carriage way frown

Had a good wander round this today. Really pleasant and relaxed... enhanced by dry weather too!

Some fantastic bits of kit on display too.
