They are known to put a bit more power out than the other engines, but that's only as good as the aero package. Mercedes GP are known to have good straight line speed, as well as one of the better DRS systems now, but a lot of time can be lost in the corners if they compromise too much.
I think McLaren have the better all around package, but they and Mercedes both often set the highest speed trap times.

Steady light or even prolonged heavy precipitation is far from unknown in SPA-F. Then, enter the true Rainmeisters compared to those that simply overdrive their cars in the wet.
In those conditions anything can happen at that circuit. A podium for MSC or even a win is a possibility although the latter is very remote. He has led and been in the top three in at least two races this season with some pretty useful driving although he appears to make more mistakes too.
I hope that if it does rain, then a start behind the safety car would not be necessary as in Canada. Far less appeal for me although for the patient, when that happened in Canada and it was well worth all the waiting...
I always study the bookmakers odds and for any win, Schumacher can be anywhere between 100-1 and 500-1 for a win. If there is a chance of rain in Belgium come race day, I do not think such very high odds will be available. Just checked a few on-line Bookies. MSC is currently 8th favourite to win in Belgium @ 150-1 with both bet365 and Hills.
Button a paltry 11-2 and 13-2 and Hamilton an even skinnier 11-4 and 10-3 with those bookies respectively. Button was 20-1 to win in Hungary ... Hmmmm. I expect to see changes in those odds come Qualifying. If both Button and Schumacher qualify behind their younger team mates, expect to see more generous odds on both so may be worth the wait as particulrly Button is always in with a good shout wheel nuts and hydraulics allowing...

The odds should be huge.Sadly IMHO, he won't win anything ever again in F1.
Except undying respect for organising for his WCs with Ferrari so well.
Don't understanding Mercs on this, unless maybe there's strength in their home market. F1 is no place for yesterday's stars/embarrassing indulgent sentiments. Can't imagine Brawn enjoys Schumacher's presence or just beating customer users ... just making up numbers is not good enough surely?
Or maybe that's it. When Mercs know they've built a race winner, then they'll get serious on the driver front.
