looking to buy a turbo kit for a mk1 1.6, wheres the best place to get one, found everythingmx5/mx5mad,not sure what the cost is or whether they still do them!
2nd option is i could also track down a second hand one off ebay/mx5nutz!

also my bro has said he could get me a secondhand for dta s40(think its an s40) ecu, but i havent seen these used on turbo mx5.. and don't know whether it will work!

thinking atm i will just stick a simple fuelling ecu on, just to get me running!

looking for around 190-200 bhp atm, but i don't fancy supercharging as the whine would really grate on after a while!

No UK company makes turbo kits.

You can get a re-badged BEGi kit from BBR,

OR you can import a FlyinMiata/BEGi kit from the states.

Other than that you need to find one 2nd hand from wherever.

The ECU will be able to run your engine, whether it can use the OEM sensors is another matter, but if it can't adding a crank trigger and your own coilpacks isn't that difficult.

Don't bank on 200bhp with no timing control. without decent engine management, don't bank on more than 160bhp.

yer i was planning on getting a wideband(probably innovate lc1) and an ait.. maybe a knocklite aswell.. what size injectors for around that power.. 1.8 injectors ok?

don't fancy the 3-4k on a bbr kit.. was hoping it would cost quite a bit less!

I am constantly seeing 1.6 2nd hand turbo kits coming up on ebay / gumtree / nutz.. so you should be able to grab yourself a bargain.

1.8 turbo kits however, are a lot harder to come by and get snapped up quickly furious

You'll need quite a lot larger than 1.8 injectors unless you run really really high fuel pressures.

Use the calculator on RCEngineerings website to work out the size injector you need.

Oh and don't skimp on them, get the best you can and you won't hate life. Bosch EV-14's or bust.
