October 3rd Bank Holiday weekend ....busy Nurburgring?

Has anyone been to the 'ring on October bank holiday? Apparently it's the Day of German Unity (Monday 3rd October). How busy was it?

Also, what's the weather like generally in that region September/October time? (I know it's unpredictable at the best of times).

That weekend will be busy ish, as much for the fact you've got 2 full days opening together.

I'm planning on being there with a load of customers/mates before heading to Spa for an OPL on the Tuesday. In my experience over the last 6 years, the weather at that time has been great, with wet weather occasionally present. I'm not a weatherman, so no guarantees!

Overall, you have to consider this particular weekend one to go for, because of the favourable opening times if nothing else! Make sure you're at the circuit for when it opens for a couple of hours, and the last couple or three hours before it closes to make the most of the best track time.

I was there that weekend a couple of years ago and it was very busy. This is partly due to the Bank Holiday and also because it will be one of the last weekends before the weather takes a noticeable turn for the worse. Everyone is trying to get a last good weekend in, I'm going the weekend before to avoid this (24/25th September).
