can overloading a car cause tyres to puncture? anyone had any experience of this? I recently helped someone move house and I think I now have a 'slow puncture', front driver side - is this common or unrelated to loading?

Only if you overload it to the point that the wheels are rubbing on something or the tyre is severely squashed looking, but that's very unlikely on a front wheel.

yes, I thought having the front one go was a little bit unusual! Perhaps I rolled over a stray nail on route?!
