I suppose they always look terrible in their basic shopping guise. That saloon looks rather volvo like.

With those economy figures they should sell even less than the current one. With the exception of AWD and I guess reliability there's not much to tempt buyers.

They've got to be kidding. The current one is bland enough but that.... That is something really special. I can't think of any other manufacturer who has made gone to such lengths to turn an icon into a disaster.

The shopping versions have always been exceedingly dull looking cars - it's only when they stick wings on them that they start to look interesting and/or ugly depending on your point of view.

+1

Might as well be any boring shopping hatch these days.

What the flying fk are Subaru up to WRT the Impreza in recent years? mad I thought the previous incarnation was bad enough but this could easily be a Kia or Chevrolet, bland and ugly (especially the hatchback), an embarrassment to the name.

Agreed. The current one is tame in most forms. This is just... beyond boring.
