Hi All

I have fitted a DVD head unit in my tuscan, only a ripspeed one but it is a nice bit of kit and works great......but.....
it seem over night it loses power and will not turn back on unless i pull it all out fiddle with the cables then push the stereo back in.

Aftyer doing this it will work all day maybe even 2 days. but then the next morning it will be dead again!!!!

Any ideas would be fantatstic.

checked connections etc all seems ok!!!!

Hard to tell if its infamous 'TVR Wiring' causing the problem, the installers 'shortcuts' or whether the unit itself is faulty.. only way to really know is test all in isolation!

can you check the unit in another car or ask the shop to give it a duration test.

Does it have a permanent live supply to it?

yes i think it does as the eject button usually works all the time even with no ignition!
