A friend in work has an Omega Speedmaster. They don't know wether it's genuine or not.
Here's a not so good picture.

Can anybody tell if it is the genuine article or not? I can get a few pictures i needs be.

If they have to ask, it is probably moody. How did they come about owning it ? If they paid £200 to a nice man in Turkey, then...............

It doesn't even look right. Do any speedies exist without sub-dials ?

I'm not an expert on Speedmasters but it looks like a very, very, poor fake.

A non-chronograph Speedmaster? Its certainly unique.....

Id agree that the owner knows very well.

I always thought the easy way to tell was real Omega's dont have upward flicks on the end of the Omega symbol.

Real Omega's do have the upwards flick:

There are usually other things to look out for in determining a fake, but it ranges from model to model smile

Look likes a copy after studying it but take it to a dealer for confirmation.

tongue out

It's a definite fake and it's not a copy of any Speedmaster that Omega has ever produced. As has already been said, it has two second hands (one small seconds) and has a chapter ring copied from a Chopard! If that wasn't enough, the metal on the casing looks suspiciously low quality too.
