Extended warranty - viable alternatives to BMW?

My e92 330d is 3yrs old at the end of Aug. I've had a letter from Mondial Assistance TA BMW Warranty - has anyone explored the outside world on warranty or should I stay safe? I've had an cracked alloy replaced in the year I've had it, nothing else as far as I know.

Personally I would (and did on the 645 I had) keep the BMW/Mondial warranty going. They actually pay out for stuff that goes wrong.
