Budget 4 grand

Needs to be an estate for 3 large dogs
Not diesel
Quick
manual gearbox
Not diesel
Reliable (unlike her Honda accord diesel but thats another story)
Cheap and easy to fix as i have to fix it when it goes wrong
Not economical (If she has a car that does 40Mpg she will use that instead of the 55mpg snottier of a micro she has just bought so sub 30Mpg would be good)
Not diesel
Manual gearbox

4x4 preferable

Oh and no modern common rail i'm going to wrong because i feel like it diesels

Discovery V8 maybe? I assume the 3 large dogs won't fit in an E39 estate?

Edit to remove link - bloody auto advertised as manual!!

She bought a nice 5 year old honda accord diesel estate to do that and it burped the turbo and its going to cost about £1700 to get it fixed

So while it is getting fixed i bought her a £700 snotter micra to keep her mobile and she loves it as she can park it anywhere, batter along our road without worrying about the pimping alloys, she doesn't care if it goes pop basically she has seen the light of snotters. if it expires in a heap of steam she will get it recovered home and we bin it and buy another

I run a snotter of a focus and it is too small for 3 huge dogs.

So we are going to sell the Honda and buy something big for long runs and dog moving that will do a couple of thousand miles a year if that. Also when a snotter dies we still have a car.

Ex biker?

Sounds like the type of girl who would appreciate a military V8 defender?

Is injuring her clutch foot not an option then? wink

Mondeo ST220 or a v6 engined vectra could also be a thirsty and inexpensive doggy wagon.

I hadn't considered a Volvo

As to a disco V8 its not reliable, its not fast and you can't put 3 dogs in the boot
