Hi all,

The other half and myself have just completed on our first house and are in the process of making some changes and decorating before we move in.

In the lounge the radiator is under the window which we want to move and is also pretty old (think it's original from when the house was built in '87).

We don't really have a clue what you need to 'look for' when buying radiators. So any advice would be great.
We are looking for something a bit different from the normal bog standard white ones so if anyone can recommend somewhere that sells something like that aren't ridiculously priced it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

There is a so much choice in this area - type designer radiator into google images and getban idea on what styles you like then you can shop around to get the best deal.

As Herbs said, soooo much choice.

But beware that the heat outputs on most designer rads aren't very good and you usually need quite a big designer rad when compared to a standard one.

Also, make sure you choose wisely when getting someone in to install it. I've seen some lovely rads completely ruined by rubbish pipework by the installer.

Look at acova column rads, we have put them in all our rooms now. You can get them from b&q but much cheaper from screwfix. Make sure you get some new quality valves otherwise the look will be wasted.

Hi There,

Take a look at the range my company offers, we have a wide variety of wall mounted radiators that create a nice designer finish for a reasonable price. I hope this helps smile

With these type of rads, it is hugely important that you read the instructions and make sure the flow and return go into the correct ends of the rads.

They will not work if they are piped up incorrectly.
