How does one pidgeon hole a car as a super or hyper car?

It used to be but not sure it is anymore. Can't everything in the Ferrari range top 200 now?

Supercars are things like Astons, Lambos, Ferraris etc, whereas hypercars are things like Paganis, Bugattis, Koenigseggs etc.

Just my 2 cents.

I don't think the difference has anything much to do with performance. More general over-the-top-ness. The term "hyper car" always struck me as a bit pointless.

I wouldnt put most astons in the super car range, most of them are gt's.

When I were a lad and all this round 'ere were green fields, Motor magazine (which was a respected journal back in those days) defined a 'supercar' as a car capable of more than 130mph OR 0-60 in less than 8 seconds.

...Which begs the question, just because a ScoobyEvo Chavtat Turbo GTti will piss all over, say, a Countach LP400, does that make the Lamborghini any less of a supercar? Or the ScoobyEvo any more of one?

I think TVRs are Super-duper cars!
