Advice please.
I have a clk 63 amg.
Nice man at Mercedes said mine does not have LSD (have printed spec-sheet, not PPP and no mention of LSD).
To me, (not expert) it behave like it does.
I resolved to put it up on a ramp somewhere and check by turning one wheel and looking to see what the other one does.
No access to ramp.
So switched off ESP, floored it from a standstill and hey presto:
TWO black lines.
Is this LSD or electronic trickery please???
I'd love to know....

Can you not get two black lines without an LSD, anyway?
As hinted above, the best way to find out would be to attempt a drift or maybe accelerate briskingly while turning 90 degrees.
My old Merc (while not an AMG and very underpowered compared to your car) has no LSD, and in the above situtions, I just get alot of spin from the unloaded inside rear.
I don't have enough power to do it in the dry, but in wet conditions, just nailing the throttle from standstill can spin both wheels.
I'm prepared to be shot down for my lack of LSD knowledge

In a straight line most cars will spin both rear wheels as they are loaded the same.
They're not actually. All diffs are assymetrical due to the crown wheel being situated to one side of the pinion. This means that the transmission resistance is greater to one side. It is seldom noticed, but on a powerful engine with high torque output, it will come into play on a fast take-off.In a straight line most cars will spin both rear wheels as they are loaded the same.
