The best "integrated" option is the Mobridge. Just had one fitted last week into my 997.1 S Full control through the PCM works great

I think mObridge or Tooki are your only options. I can't speak for Tooki, but the mObridge does have faults. Do a search on here for details.

mObridge is far from perfect, but definitely the best solution for PCM2. It isn't too bad, once you get the jist of how to control it properly.

It's worth mentioning that even PCM3 isn't without its flaws.

Will the mOBridge Bluetooth phone kit allow iPod classic hard wired connection of is it simply aimed at the touch? As I would like to connect/control my iPod classic and would also like to pair with Mobile phone Bluetooth, do I need to buy two different modules? The website tends to suggest this.

Thanks

The Dension 500 is the other option. Not quite as neat as the mObridge, because the bluetooth box is separate from the main unit, but you won't notice once they are both hidden away in the front boot.

I have had this combination in for 6 months and it has been faultless for both music and phone - even the bluetooth audio works well.

I can't really offer a comparison between the Dension and the mObridge, but the general opinion seems to be that the mObridge edges it for bluetooth and the Dension for music.

I'm exploring these options too. Is the Dension an easy DIY and anybody got a view on the quality of the bluetooth. My car is a 2005 Turbo S with PCM 2, Bose but no phone module. It has the phone button on the head unit obviously but from the interweb blurb not sure if I will need to get anything programmed to enable the phone function.

Is it as simple as plug and play?

edited to add, Ipod is a gen2 and phone is i-phone 4S, does the Dension charge these

thanks in anticipation

I found the Dension an easy DIY installation, and I am not much of a 'DIY' person. It makes it a bit more simple if you have got a CD changer in the car to start with as you can take the power feed from that.

My car came with PCM2.1 and Bose with no phone module and I did not have to have anything activated, it just worked straight away. The bluetooth phone quality has been fine for me, but I'd never use bluetooth for music.

The Dension charges any ipod/iphone that is connected to it by cable. I chose to have an iPod permanently connected to the Dension in the front boot so it is always 100% charged and I control it via the PCM. My iPhone is connected by bluetooth at the same time and stays in my pocket.

If you prefer, you can put the iPod connection in the cabin itself and then you can choose whether you want to control the iPod/iPhone via the PCM or directly on the unit itself.

I am not sure how it works if you want to have your iPhone connected by cable for music and by bluetooth for calls at the same time. I'd GUESS it would work as long as you are controlling from the phone rather than the PCM.

Thanks Kingston, I do have the boot mounted CD changer so all looks straightforward. I wouldn't use bluetooth for music anyway.

Right now to see who's supply only price is best

I was thinking of getting a Dension myself.

Mounting the unit in the front compartment next to the Navigation DVD drive should be fairly easy. The only tricky bits might be finding a permanent power source ( could probably get this from the Nav drive ) and running microphone / iPod leads into the passenger compartment.

Anyone know if there are any easily accessible holes to push wires through from the front compartment?

If you have a CD Changer, you can pick up permanent power from the CDC power. If you have the CDC, fitting the Dension (for music) takes about 20 mins. Running the wires back into the car is a little more fiddly - there's a grommit behind the battery I seem to remember which you can poke a hole through to run the wires.
