Really good movie with a solid storyline setting up future movies and good action. It could have gone wrong and been bad but didn't. It's by far the best movie of the summer. I was rooting for the apes!

Well, humans are horrible so the apes may seem like the nicer option!?!

True....
...Beware the beast Man, for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport or lust or greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him; drive him back into his jungle lair, for he is the harbinger of death.

it seems like the trailer gives the hole story away.

Agreed. Fairly obvious how and why the apes rise. I'll wait for it to be on tv

Saw this the other night and thought it was unexpectedly good. The film is much more of intelligent creatures/different breeds relations rather than war of the apes. The action scenes were a bit weak though, but then again that wasn't about it. Oh and one of the few victims being the whity chap from Harry Potter. Thankfully.

It's a prequel to 'The Planet of the Apes' and is called 'Rise of the Planet of The Apes', the trailer only gives away the obvious. I enjoyed every minute of it despite avoiding previous Planet of the Apes movies like the plague!

Was impressed with this, solid film and far better than I'd have expected.

Not seen it yet, but it seems to have a better explanation than the original. Always thought that was a little weak.
