Why no DCT on 335i Touring?
Discussion
Simple reason is that there's not enough demand!
It's pretty much like anything, any similar product etc, the variants made cater for the maximum number of purchasers/customers. In BMW models, there's always a 'few' bemoaning there isn't a 4 door M3 anymore, or the M5 Touring isn't around anymore etc etc. When those models were around, they didn't sell many so why would BMW or any other marque etc make items that probably won't sell?!
You can always do a conversion and make a DCT transmission fit into a Touring
Cheers, Dennis!

Think that in the E92/93 DCT has replaced the conventional auto as the alternative to the manual. However, at a guess I'd say the vast majority of 335i E90 and E91's that are sold are autos so on that basis there certainly is a demand for a self-shifter of some description; therefore, the fact that BMW have stuck with a conventional auto for those models probably does means they see DCT as a more sporting choice and hence less suitable for the saloon and estate. Not sure I'd agree with that but can only assume that's their "logic"!It's pretty much like anything, any similar product etc, the variants made cater for the maximum number of purchasers/customers.
