Coming home tonight, passing parked cars on my side of road, on comming merc SLK had loads of room and didn't pull over. Stoved in all down drivers side, can't open door, GRP all over the road, no-one would admit liability. I was just over the centre line when it happened, she has about 5ft of room. I'm not going to rant about women drivers but anyone suggest who was at fault?
I'm really p**ssed off at the moment, the car will be off the road for some time, if I'm lucky I may get use of the GFs mobile dog shed.
Oh well at least nobody was injured!

Sorry to hear about your accident Steve. Unfortunately, I'd go with Pie's guess, that if you were overtaking cars on your side of the road, and she was just driving on her side, you'd have trouble pinning the blame on her, however dappily she was driving (this is just a layman's opinion).
I recently went through a near-write-off experience with my S, so if I can be of any help when you come to deal with your insurance, feel free to email me through my profile.
Hope it all works out ok.

friedn did exactly the same and managed to settle 50/50. Bit devious, cos she was on the wrong side of the road, but she argued the oncomng car gave her room, then changed mind and clipped her. It's all down to witnesses. I reckon you'll get knock for knock if no-one was watching.
Hope you're okay and get her back on the road soon. (also, make sure all the other stray things that need respraying were 'caused' by the accident - knowworramean?)
Good luck.

sorry to hear bout your prang.
Unfortunately, Pies is on the money. The fact is she had right of way due to the cars being on your side of the road. Unless it is admitted by her that you were already well established overtaking the cars when she then started to pass them on the other side its unlikely to be anything other than 100% against you...

just had a flick at your other post. Sorry mate, but been dealing with these sort of cases for more years than I would like and still think you will have to take the majority of liability, largely due to the fact it was her right of way. Luckily it isn't a big claim so other than the loss of your NCB its not going to effect you greatly.
Glad you've steered clear of the wimen driver bit, you should realise that hitting an on-coming car is preferable to bieng within 6feet of the kerb
. Lots of tight residnetial roads my way and without looking at the driver I could tell you what sex is driving by the way they negotiate on-coming traffic and pulling in/out of parked cars
.
A real pisser never-the-less, hope you get it sorted. Asssuming there were no other cars/witnesses I would go down the 'I was already in the middle of the road having passed x parked cars etc' route 'the on coming car stared to drift towards the kerb then changed its mind without warning blah blah'.

totally agree with Harry's suggested version of events I must say. Its a better bet than "she should have moved over"
