Hoses are already in as they were run when I had the engine re built. If you look at the 2nd pic on the right you can see one of them pointing up.Have fun running the hoses down the tunnel!!!

Next week I will cut holes in the panels to pop the pipe through it (need to get some grommets).

It won't be hot. It better not be. I would have said it should be only the amb temp outside plus a bit more so maybe one side of it might get to 40deg. I could of put it lower on the floor but would have needed to do move and fabricated much more. It only covers the top of the rad and remember the air stil goes through the cc rad.
I Don't use the air con much anyway.

I thought the same at first, think it's water which flows to a chamber that the air flows through after the normal intercooler before the inlet manifold, so water draws away and heat left in the air.

Bingo, the jacket is around the pipe between the IC and intake. The water gets charged (heated) and is then run through the rad at the front and so on. So it pulls heat out of the intake system into the water. Bondy
No gains, just no losses due to heat soak/high intake temps. The idea of this is to keep the air intake temps down to ambient and therefore maintain power.
Also if the air intake is kept to no more than 30 then you would prob have more power than normal as intakes tend to be around 40 I think. Tony did all the testing I'm just copying him.

Great project, i was looking into the charge cooling system myself a while back, well i was looking at a few options for lowering air intake temps, this system you have done looks spot on, i think you will be forcing cooled air no matter what the conditions, but there seems to be a lot of work involved, did you consider methanol injection before choosing the charge cooler?
It just seems 100% methanol injection would be an easier option,(not saying its the better option
with methanol it lowers intake temps on par with a charge cooler, plus it is very flammable so you can get car retuned to equivalent of running on octane 117 race fuel, plus it cools the combustion chamber like a freeze spray would, which helps protect the engine and lower cylinder head temps, so it seems to offer much greater performance benefits, it is also a very simple install and a lighweight system.
But I suppose on the other hand the down side is having to refill the methanol tank, where as with your system the water gets recirculated, so long term you are saving alot of money on methanol and have the added benefit of not worrying about refills on long journeys. My friend is getting 300km out of a 1 gallon tank on his 997TT so its not too bad, but would be a pain if you had to drive across europe, he has to switch to a second map if he runs out of methanol.
lots of pros and cons to both systems but once again i must say the charge cooler looks top notch.

Having used charge cooler systems on the vx220, where on that it completely replaces the intercooler, it makes a big difference to the inlet temperatures. Especially on extended full throttles.
Do you have any before and after data for the inlet temps for the noble?
Edit to add:
Although on those system the CC rad is the same size as the normal radiator and bolts to it from the underneath. No change in normal ratiator performance is noticed.
