Tried using the search today but it was on the go slow, looking for my brother a decent in car camcorder. Dosent need to be anything special (expensive). ideally dash mounted or easily mounted elsewhere, rechargable thru the cig lighter and easy to retrieve footage from.

Looked on ebay, seems to be hundreds, what are you guys using??? Will be used for track days / road trips. thanks

Remember thatt the quality/speed of the SD card usually has a far greater bearing on the quality of the recording than the camera does.

If you're looking for really cheap try

ebayminicamera

The quality is not the best, but it's okay if you're not looking to publish it.

I used it for the first time at Rockingham the other day VX220_SC

Velcro'd on top of the rear view mirror. They were so cheap (£1.99 that I bought 5) so I can have forward, rear, inside views and spares.

The cameras only weigh a few grams so they're not going to slip.

I should also mention that some of the poor image quality is down to my filthy windscreen!
