HGV Sat Nav

Can anyone recommend a Sat Nav that is suitable for a HGV?

Its not for me but for a mate but he doesn't want to spend 400 quid on a sat nav.

I've heard of pro-nav, are these any good?

Buy a basic tom-tom, and then plug it into the tom-tom website and search for the 'apps' that are available.

On my basic 5-year old device i have low bridges, width limits, truck-avoid spots, cafes, laybys and so on.

The driver still has to use some gumption though, and I think it's terrible that the haulage industry still attaches no importance whatsoever to providing full postal delivery addresses.

Id try the Garmin Dezl 560LT or Nuvi 465T. Around £300/350 a piece, cheaper via Amazon I think

I have a Tom Tom go 7000 truck edition and love it, 99% of the time the routes are spot on when set up for the truck, central London can have the occasional issue but what sat nav doesn't in London? Compare that the navman which my company had fitted the Tom Tom is so easy to read and follow whereas the navman is awkward the follow. I know the Tom Tom is expensive but so worth it.
