Which 2001 focus?
Discussion
I've had a 1.8 and have a 2.0 in Zetec trim.
The 2.0 has a little more grunt than the 1.8, but I found the 1.8 more driveable and much better on fuel.
The 2.0 had rear discs as standard, but they were available on the 1.8 as an option along with traction control, as mine did.
I'd would have had another 1.8 if I could find one with rear discs.

This.
If you're looking at one, make sure everything is tight and there are no worn bushings in the back. The bolts rust and sieze up and it makes changing anything a nightmare.
