Hi.

I have a 2006 E60 535d and I wonder if any other x35d/twin turbo owners out there have any experience with the smaller turbo being lazy. What seems to happen is if I accelerate hard the smaller turbo squeals. Even if driven gently from cold the smaller turbo seems to get lazy, and eventually 'die' - leaving you with no power between 0 - 2.000 rpm - after which the big turbo kicks in and you end up launching towards the cars in front of you. It makes driving the car gently very difficult, and sometimes it catches you unaware.

Anyone have any thoughts / experienced the same? I am taking the car to a garage later this week.

Many thanks in advance!

Rich.

Common issues are deteroiated vacuum hoses and sticking actuators.

Here are a couple of threads to get u started and see if you can spot the problem youself.
