Real world, if it has that power and knowing jap turbo car claims it might not, it will kill you in every department.

My mates Evo 9 has around 390 bhp and in a straight line I pull away from him, that's with an early 4.2.

As the speeds build up, the Cerb just pulls further into the distance. This does however assume it is dry and you have traction wink

In the real world the Evo will run rings round a Cerbera. But don't worry about it - your mates got a Mistubishi Evo, and you've got a TVR Cerbera. If it worries you buy an Evo.

This

If your cerb is making say healthy 4.2 around 350bhp in standard tune he will destroy the cerb in every way in the real world. if you get a runway you may beat him top end. But Evo's are quick quick easy to drive cars

Standing start - Evo..
Rolling start - close call, though I would be tempted to call the Evo again..

I had a impreza p1 which whilst it wasn't as powerful as an evo 9 was slower in a straight line than the cerbs I owned before and after. It also was the car I hated the most ever.

I would put my money on the Cerb in a straight line. The EVO is heavy and the power to weight should favour the Cerb. Any corners or damp and the EVO will destroy it. So real world EVO on a dry runway Cerb. I wouldnt worry just put the two togeather look back and smile at the sheer beauty of the TVR yes

I would have been able to tell you how I faired around the track against his Evo 9 but my crank shat itself after two laps frown I guess that mean's the Evo is faster on this occasion!

And From a driver point of View i would get board of the Evo quickly even with all that grunt. 4wd Xbox's dont float my boat, not raw enough. If i make a error i want to be the one to sort it out, not the Xbox wink

That's why i sold my Subaru impreza after only 8 months quick quick car but boring

Turbo lag may be a problem for the EVO as well, it must be running high boost to get that sort of power.

you need talent and decent dampers/springs/set up to drive a Cerb fast, you don't with the ricer.

Agreed on the driving quality required to maximise the Cerbera.

I have driven the Evo a few times on road and track and whilst it is good fun, you can take huge liberties compared to the Cerbera. That's why I love the Cerb, if it goes fast, it's because I made go fast, not because a computer allowed me to go fast.

Evo me thinkssmileSold my proven 480 bhp 2.5 scoob to buy a cerb, and the cerb would not keep up with it,but i would 100% rather drive the cerb.Lets be honest how many times are you going to use 480 bhp on the road. For me i had 11 years with my scoob, spent silly money on it and loved it biggrin totally differant cars in so many ways. Each to their own i say but me thinks tvr has made a car that untill you own one you cant really understand how it will make you feel

I had a 410bhp evo 9gt (no ayc etc) now have a tuscan red rose.

Evo was so quick from standstill, especially with launch control and 888's. However, by 100 it had well and truly ran out of puff, or at least it felt that way. I would say a standard m3 is as fast after 100, maybe faster.

Mine didnt have ayc but it was still boring, dont get me wrong it was savage down a b road but not being able to break traction tires after a while.

Launch control is fking awesome though whatever way you look at it, 5k rpm, 400ish bhp and trackday tyres makes a good combination smile

My tuscan would imo be as quick from 30-100 and would likely leave it thereafter i rreckon, standstill no chance, too much spin in first wven with yoko ad08's.

I was at a track day at Brands a few years back I was behind an Evo fq340 he couldn't get away from me. He had slight edge coming out of the corners due to traction and also exiting the corner first making him look like he had an edge but by the end of the straights I was right with him again.
I am not pro and suspect he wasn't either as we were both taking very similar lines and breaking points. We both however blew past a relatively new 911 like it was standing still lol
After about 3-4 laps he let me past but couldn't keep up. :-)

Evo's and Scoobies are quick below 100, but after that their spoilers and big bluff front ends hinder them..

I used to have a 280bhp 200SX the best 1/4mile terminal I managed (with a very bad launch) was 106mph, the equivilent scooby would cross the line around 95mph.. the S14 200SX has a sleek body with a low roof line like the Cerb which helps a lot once you get up into the big numbers.. the 200 also has gear ratios very similar to the Cerb (1st = 45mph, 2nd = 78mph, 3rd = 110mph etc) whereas scoobys and Evo's are geared a lot shorter with an extra ratio on the end which is why they feel so much nippier..
