How Many owners ?
Discussion
with any high performance or luxury car some do tend to 'get around' as owner circumstances/moods change, ie they need to cash their 'toy' in for a business venture, house sale etc, or something else comes along that takes their fancy.
You do get the odd exception, my lotus for example is a '91 car that had only had its original owner since new prior to me getting it...many have had 5 or 6 maybe more in the same period.
At the end of the day look for complete and thorough service records, invoices are nice! and buy on the condition of the car, low owners is nice but not essential, but will add to the value of the car

my first tuscan had 5 previous owners and that was in oct 2002! It was a shame cos the car was well sorted and never missed a beat, if i had known at the time i wouldnt of bought it but the dealer ( one i had bought 4 cars off them, so at the time i thought i could trust them and are official tvr) told me over the phone it only had 2 previous owners!
Agree with Jamster, my car has only had one owner apart from me, I would have still bought it if it had more. It is a wee bit like mileage. Low mileage cars (especially sports cars like TVRs) command a premium, however it has been shown time and again that higher mileage cars are often better "runners" as they have had any niggles sorted out and don't sit around for long periods "rotting away". Just a personal bug bear of mine.
