Ride A Supercar, Benefit Charity
Ford's Dunton test track opens up once again for a charity supercar track day treat
The folks at Petrolhead Nirvana - the guys behind the Supercar Family Funday at Dunsfold - are back with more track-based supercar fun.
And of course it's all for a good cause. This time it's Ford's Dunton test track that, on 18th September, will host a supercar show with a twist.
This is the fourth time Ford has opened up its technical facility in Essex for this, and the formula is as simple as ever: a load of supercars with enthusiastic owners to drive people around, and those who get to go for a ride donate to the Little Havens Children's Hospice.
There will be a heady mix of supercars on offer, ranging from KTMs and Ariel Atoms to Dodge Vipers and Ford GTs (via Ferraris and Lamborghinis, naturally). But it's not just about riding in - or watching - the cars go around the track. There's a whole host of other activities and shows to keep you occupied.
These will include:
- A live stage with bands throughout the day,
- A food area (with themed food stalls),
- A climbing wall,
- Driving simulators,
- Go-karts,
- Bouncy castles,
- First driving experience (12yrs +),
- A car show,
- A motor bike area,
- A VW camper area,
- And a stunt bike show
Entry costs £5 per person (£3 for children) while a family ticket is just £12. Supercar rides are priced at just £20 for two laps of the circuit - though it's best to book your entry and ride tickets in advance.
To book rides or entrance tickets, just head to the relevant part of the Little Havens Hospice website.
