I would be interested to hear reader's experiences in attempting to improve the handling of their XJR (X308).

For my part, I find my XJR a touch ponderous and have noticed more and more slop as the suspension has aged - not helped by some play in the rear driveshafts. On top of that I find the body roll annoying and lack of firm damping in a straight line likewise. My suspension was recently pronounced fit by my mechanic, save the afforementioned play, which he considered to be quite minor.

One idea that occured was to 'frig' the CATS to be permanently to it's hardest setting.

Any experiences or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

All is possible, how much do you want to spend?

A lot has been done to my XKR, I'm sure most can be carried over to the XJR

One mad I would put above most is to fit a Limited Slip Diff that really helps get the power to the road
Not sure where you are in the UK but that can be done by TLJaguar 0118-976-2899 as well as all the other mods

The problem with 'to 'frig' the CATS to be permanently to it's hardest setting'
is that you will have a constant fail sign on your dash
