Defender chassis repairs

Hi there.
My Defender 90 200TDi has rotten rear spring seats (the bit that's welded onto the chassis) and I have access to a sound Disco 200TDi chassis. Does anyone know if the spring seats from the Disco will fit the 90? I'm thinking of grinding them off, replacing metal as required in the chassis rail, and welding the 'new' ones back on.

Defender 90 and Discovery/Range Rover springs are all the same diameter so this will work. 110 models have large diameter springs in the rear.

Thanks for that. I could stop being so tight I suppose and pay £56 for a pair of new ones, but it's a Land Rover thing using some 'spare' ones!!
