Ted,

Not sure where exactly the problem is (doesn't appear to my PC or ISP as all usual benchmark tests run fine) but PH is pausing for long periods before responding...

Cheers

There is some system work going on which may affect performance but I didn't think it would be significant Sorry.

It is erratic. I'm still looking at this as I still suspect it might be something to do with the new ad server I'm using.

When a page hanges, clicking the 'go' button in your browser to submit a fresh request can sometimes bring it up more quickly.

Anyway, I shall continue to investigate...

I had this kind of troubles for months until a few weeks back. Bearing in mind i open 20+ pages in about 2 mins and read them all after. I'm now getting about 25% of the pages not loading (no errors just keeps looking).
I've had doubleclick blocked for years if that makes a difference.

I'm investigating. It could be a number of things - I just need to get a handle on it. Part of the problem is trying to reproduce it consistently which I haven't been able to do yet. I get it periodically but not frequently enough to be able to debug it effectively.
