Another "Garage to Boys room" thread (pic heavy)

Inspired by the other thread... here is my recent garage to boys-room conversation.

Rear view of the garage


Inside, all cleared out and before the first whack with the sledgehammer!! There is another area that was just a general dumping room at the other side of the wall.


Bang...


Crash.. the side wall was knocked down as well to open up the width


Looking back towards the doors


Framing up the wall / windows, interior framing and insulating and ceiling work



Some electrics going in and sorting out the entrance door and one of me being a brickies laborer





Starting work on the other wall to allow for patio doors






Getting there:



Sorting out the decking and rendering outside




Finished outside



Finished and furnished inside with ubiquitous lazy-boy chair in the corner





Heating provided by 14kW multifuel stove

I was pretty blown away by the first picture with the Ferrari's in the driveway. (There's something beautiful about a picture of a red Ferrari on a driveway )

Lol, don't be so harsh on the rendering. It has already faded back a bit to blend in more with other bits. Honest.

Whole thing took about 6 weeks to get 90% done, then another 6 weeks to get the guys away from other jobs to finish it which was frustrating. Electrician was the only one who turned up on the dot and did exactly what he said he would do each day. Decking men did their bit at the end in just over 4 days.

2. Did you get Planning Permission for the decking? It needs it!
