Hey Everybody,
Has anyone had a similar experience to my embarrasing episode in a packed city centre with the Hand Brake???
In a nutshell: Beautiful Sunny day...Roof off, car is gleaming!!..in the middle of town..Illegally parked pop into shop for 1 min...jump back in..wink at a few girls... THEN..cant get my bloody handbrake off...im furiously trying pull, push, wiggle EVERYTHING to get the thing to release with no joy... SO I had to drive it 3 miles smoking and all to my house..
Can anyone help..or have any embarassing stories to share to make me feel better!!
Cheers
J

Thanks Guys..I tried everything to release it but nothing worked!
I have to get it lifted by RAC and taken to Towerview where Andy (good bloke)is going to try and release it from underneath
If it cant be released then it will be a nightmare to fix i.e. the gear box has to be removed - 6hours Labour etc etc

FYI
It was only a 50p job in the end... it was the thread in the button attached to the cord which was worn..unscrewed it and put a new button on and Bobs your Uncle..good as new!
The handbrake was on so tight (I agree with ya GreenV8S..its unbelievable that mine actually works ..) I nearly knackered the Clutch to get it on the tow truck as they couldnt lift it or drag it as it was parked in awkward position...DOH!!!
I hope this episode can help someone else..so they dont let a 50p job become an expensive clutch, Brake pad and disc replacement!
Thanks Kojak69 and Travelsveryrapid for the advice.
Cheers

I have had this problem a couple of times. I have always managed to remedy it by screwing the button on more tightly, it seems to slowly come loose and I need to screw it back periodically.
Not had to replace anything, so you can probably save the 50p too..
Never had the problem whilst posing though.
