Hi all,

In the process of resotring a car which I am going to paint Ford Frozen White in 2 pack.

I've sprayed a couple of parts so far and it covers really badly. Took about 4-5 good costs before it started to look like anything. Is this standard practise for white as I've only sprayed a couple of times using deep colours?

To be fair I'd left a couple of patches of dark paint in places which were the troublesome parts. The car itself will be in light grey primer.

If you use a white primer it should cover pretty much straight away.
Obviously the darker the colour underneath the more coats it will take to cover

Ah well, loks like the grey will cover not tooooo badly so I'll have to stick with it. Many thanks for the reassurance.

Just to bring closure to the subject - sprayed the interior this weekend and it covered the grey primer well so I guess problem solved. At least now I know not to try and spray white over a dark colour!!
