Im going to be ordering a set of injectors soon,

And going on the calculators I seen and done on-line, im going to need about 30lb, going on standard pressure of 38 psi is that right?

Engine will be 4.6 high compression, solid lifters/cam aiming for at least 6500rpm and 330-350 bhp

Comments welcome please

I have standard but cleaned Lucas green band injectors 22lb set at only 34psi, my 5l is producing 339.5bhp..

The weird thing is when the tuner upped the pressure it actually produced less bhp on the rollers...34psi with the vac removed gave the most power..

Im still looking at getting larger 30lb injectors when i find out if the injectors can`t cope with the flow ...

im obviously getting droplets rather than mist..I think the standard injectors should be set at 36psi..but i may be a different story with larger injectors..

30ib ones should be more than enough for that power, i use the ford motorsport red injectors that are 30ib and they will fuel 400bhp easily, £300 a set mind you!

Hi Daz, your injectors are close to there limit, for me the fear of running your injectors to the limit is them overheating, obviously they are flowing fuel so if one faulty and overheated to much you could be in danger of a fire under the bonnet.

Yes your whole engine will blow up unless you join me and haircutmike with a small group buy and save money on postage from buying a set from the states

I don't know how good they are, ive never used them

There's a few to choose from, reason im buying from the states is there half the price

Even a garden hose would maker a better injector than the standard disc valve lucas ones
