e vM engine conversions (who's got what)

I used to own a silver de-badged 325i with an M3 engine in it. Classic fun and an amazing sleeper but perhaps a bit much for the rest of the car that was totally srandard at the time! Had to sell it before I killed myself.

I was just wondering who else has done what and what do they think of it? I'm slightly tempted to get a purpose built track car and I always liked the idea of an e30 with a 3.5-3.8 m5 unit?

I saw the z4 v10 m5. That looked quite amusing but miles from my 5k ish budget. (if I were to get something)
