Advice needed

I have this morning received a Penalty Charge Notice from Haringey council for my car transporter.apparantly i was seen in a bus lane at 07.40 by a camera operator observing real time pictues...........

It claims to have seen vehicle reg number R279 ***

Make of vehicle Volkswagen.

My vehicle is a Mercedes not a VW.

Where do I stand and what shall I do.

Any help appreciated.

If they have only got the make wrong and the time/date/VRM correct then I would suggest you are legless.

I would check with the DVLA as they probably got the make from the reg number. If the make is wrong then there is posibly something wrong at the DVLA.
