Hi

We're off on honeymoon to the East coast soon and I'm looking for something interesting to hire for around a week starting/finishing in Boston.

The only things I can find at the moment are those in the Hertz Adrenaline Collection (Dodge Challenger RT, Ford Mustang GT Premium or Chevy Camaro SS) but according to their website these are not available from Boston....

Has anyone hired anything interesting from Boston before????

Thanks

I have exactly the same problem as you so I'm happy to give you a bump to the top.

So far the only rear drive V8 fun I can find is a Ford F150 pick-up (from Budget) which is becoming more appealing the more I think about it...scratchchin

be aware theyre almost always "charger" or similar , you get there and get a full size kia , charger v6 isnt very special either

you book something big with a popular company and hope they have a few nice cars kicking about which they often will , ask nicley about an upgrade at the desk

hertz is expensive but seen to try hard to please , you can join up the gold~1 club for nothing and get 10% with quidco plus another 10% off code

Nothing like that comes up when I search from Boston - are they not just boggo V6's anyway and as someone else mentioned they always quote "or similar" so I may end up with a Kia.....

I suppose it's too late to fly to NYC and drive to Boston.

Pick-up turned out to be much more expensive than I previously thought as Budget don't include CDW etc. in the price.

So now I'm reluctantly concluding that a standard convertible is the only way to avoid the standard saloon st-box, although I fully realise that I may be commiting myself to a week in a Chrysler Sebring, or worse, a PT Cruiser yuckyuckyuckyuckyuckyuckyuckyuck

id say book the full size or luxury car with somewhere like carhire300 , if they offer up a kia at least your in a good catagory to upgrade to something u fancy

i just accept whatevers there now , choose the cleanest low miles car , most of the american cars arent that special anyway unless you go for $$$$$$ ones

2 years ago I hired a Mustang V6 Convertible in Boston. The Hotel concierge arranged it (through Hertz IIRC).

It was delivered to our hotel and I dropped it off at the airport on the way home.

Flights already booked to Boston and we were planning on staying there for a few days before getting the car and driving around.

I'll give Hertz a call and see if they can arrange something.....
