It was a good convoy last year. After seeing a few people ask if there is one this time, I have had a little look on the maps for meeting and departure times. Assuming Wilton house opens its doors/gates at 10am, how does everyone feel about these times:

Meet at the fleet services at 8am for 830am(ish) departure.

Can someone help with a 'scenic' route, and/or better times if mine are a bit too early/late?

I'll try to be at Fleet for 8:30, assuming I can drag myself out of bed early enough!

By the garage - Wouldn't make more sense to meet in the main carpark? I'm not familiar with Fleet southbound so, I'm probably wrong! smile

Last year the main car parked was packed solid. There is an area for trucks to fuel/stop, which was ideal last time. Plus anyone that needs fuel can get some before we leave, as the Shell is by the exit.

Its a bit early for me though I might be tempted...but I can recommend a good route; lovely twisty GOOD road. Join A303 and then come off it about 2 miles after the BP petrol station (signed Micheldever). Go right at T junc and immediately left, then left again (or you will rejoin A303!) and then follow your nose for approx 30 miles all the way to Salisbury. Great road. I live very close to that junction.

Apologies to everyone that went to Fleet services, my iphone decided to give me another hour in bed- the alarm didn't go off at all frown

I was disapointed to miss the convoy, but had a great day when I finally arrived.
