Everyone by now knows what's going on in France with reguards to driving but what's Spain like?

I know they dropped the speed limit, oil prices, but I think they have resinded that.

Anyway, I'll be driving a few "choice roads" there in September and was wondering how the Spanish police were dealing with this?

Of course I will be respecting all speed limits at all times as I am driving in a country which is not my own and I will be obaying all their laws.

The dropped speed limit was only a temporary thing. It is back to 120 km/h now.

Why not?

I'll let the mods decide where to send.

I probably got about 20 speeding fines on my Barcelona to Valencia trip, I didn't know the limits so just cained the wee Renault Megane smile

Goodness knows. I was in a hurry and in a French hire car, so I went as fast as I could five up.

Oddly enough the Spaniards have a very Southern Europe
attitude to speeding.

Not like Northern Europe at all, where driving fast
is almost synonymous with dangerous driving.

It can be surprising to be sitting on the motorway
at a relaxed 150 kmh or so, not fast enough to bother
anyone, and have folks appear in the rear view mirror
like they came out of hyperspace.

It's 480 miles from Burgos to Malaga.

At the moment you don't get points on a UK license. Stupid Europe want to change that though.

Mrs CC is doing the reverse journey tomorrow morning, on the way down she was sat at a steady 85 without any hassle from the police.

Yes, apparently EU bureaucrats consider this to be a very important issue. The ongoing collapse of the entire EU project can wait. hehe
