Is your rear plate transparent for the backlight?

I wonder if writing TVR Griffith along the bottom, by way of explanation to the hard of thinking, isn't just a bit chav.

I wouldn't wonder about it, I would either think it is or it isn't. Personally I don't but maybe you do and that's fine as I asked for opinions and all are greatly received. Not everyone would get the GRF thing and may think it's my initials.

Looks fine, but is 'overly' TVR.

No need for the side of the plate (personal niggle of mine) and no need to 'explain' along the bottom of the plate.

look lovely but are illegal,Road Legal number plates must have the makers RNPS number, supplying outlet name and postcode and British Standard number on the bottom of the plate. This is a legal requirement,also is it a proper back lit plate,so can be read at night.

I like the no. - and the car looks alright as well (well, as good as a Griff can - but then again the no. would look a bit naff on a Chim)

Personally, I would just have the no. and not the TVR edge or bottom.

I think I'm correct in saying that not having the plate supplier's postcode etc on it is not an MOT failure, but is still an offence for which you could get a ticket (IIRC my conversation with an MOT tester - they look at font, spacing and border sizes). Still, you didn't ask about that, so I'll go back to sleep now

It's all completely legal and appropriate for the type of backlighting, as stated it's pre 2001
