Over the past few months I've had a number of intermittent problems with the Chim.

The latest one is completely baffling me.

When I go above maybe 60% throttle the car sometimes just cuts out. No spluttering from the engine or any other tell tale noises. Just the lights on the speedo light up and engine 'turns' off. Most of the time when I attempt to restart the engine it turns over first time. Sometimes I have had to leave it a few minutes before starting again.

I have recently had the Foxguard alarm unit repaired and have also had to replace the starter motor. I am begining to think these things are related to the underlying cause of the problem.

Has anyone had similar? Any ideas of where to start diagnosing this?

Had a similar problem with mine it turned out to be the connection to the ecu it took ages to find that. bit of a rub with sandpaper and it has been fine since worth a go .

I had total loss today, as it turned out the hose over the coil had been vibrating on one of the coil connections which had come off. First breakdown for me but glad it was an easy fix.

I had similar problems for around a year, with a miss-fire also. Cutting out turned out to be immobiliser, miss-fire ti be poor connection to ecu.
