Funky decoration ideas

My last flat i shared so was completely bare and boring but i'm moving alone into a bungalow next month so i'm after some ideas to add a bit of spice. It'll be a rental so nothing too mental but i've wanted a bike on the lounge wall for some time, probably a bmx due to being able to get good looking ones cheap. I'm also allowed to paint as long as it's returned to boring white at the end but having no idea how long i'll be there i'd probably just do the lounge.

Here's the property if it helps, nothing special but compared to my mates still living with their parents it's immense
