Underbonnet stuff

New owner,I recently read the thread on waxoiling and read the article in Sprint that TVR don't like their engines steam cleaned,so picked all of that up. But asides from coolant oil levels etc. what do you all do as general maintenance and to ensure that the relationship stays a friendly one. I have started cleaning underbonnet and doing general inspection on all hoses and will replace those that do not look good. In addition the chasis members that are visible I will rub down and re-treat, Hammerite Silver ?? There does not appear to be any mods so all looks to be standard.

That's a good start. You could also check and adjust the front rollers and catch so that the bonnet shuts snugly without rattling. Make sure the bonnet strut isn't damaging the inner wing, and keep an eye out underneath for rad leaks.
