Power steering pump - does not always start

PS pump on the later T-cars is electric. Start with the usual. Fuse in the battery box (they corrode)& on fuse board. Relay in engine bay (they can get water in them) about £25 to replace. Connector to the PS pump secure.
I would say relay is on the way out, this is exactly what happened to mine.
If the pump is kippered don't pay silly 'TVR' money for a new one. Its off a saxo/106. I got a BNIB genuine citroen pump off flea bay for £100 from some rude boy who stacked his car. Second hand they are cheap as chips

Yes, its in a grey square box hanging around the front of the engine compartment, next to the oil tank on my 2003 Tamora.
Yep what tony said, best worked on without the bonnet in place and it can be a right sod to separate from the plug as it has a water tight seal on it (the relay is mounted in the grey housing). You will loose skin if you are not careful!New part from Renault is an uprated 65A jobbie p/n 8200253922
