I didn't like the "banana" supplied with the JE alternator bracket, so I made my own adjuster. It seems to work well and doesn't involve levering the alternator to tension the belt.

Here's one of the plenums in production.

And here is the engine in its current state. It is finished, but there is a bit of testing to do and the small matter of getting an MOT passed...

The sharp eyed will notice that a few things are a bit different from last year.

Cats have appeared in the exhaust. I am tired of messing about and demonstrating the existence of concessions, so I'll at least give the appearance of following the rules wink

The cooling system has been redesigned - it follows the basic design of the Subaru Impreza now, so should prove to be a bit more watertight than before. It also contains far less water, which should be good for having a responsive system.

The next couple of months of testing should be interesting. (if Pasco ever gets his car back together we can have an arms race)

I'd like to thank CliveF for an incredible fabrication job and the loan of space to work on the car.

The Blade and Cliff combination strikes again !!

I can not tell you how much i have been waiting for the production of the Millenium Falco 2 concept bow

Well done i realy hope this gives you big gains both in power but more inportantly in driveability.

Anything that helps smooth a very Wild Cam and provide serious amounts of cold air gets my thumbup

Keep us posted on how it goes please thumbup

The cooling aspect also interests me Dave i notice the water pipes on the off side bank have gone so would you mind explaining how you and where you re routed the piping to acheive this?

Keep up the good work bow

I was thinking the other day while my spots were out what about using the holes left behind as air induction points? Make an air box behind each and fit dual cone air filters, that way its almost a ram air setup?
Presume there is a good reason not to do it, but it sounded good in my head.
Do you use std air intake point?

I don't use the standard air intake point. It involves far too many twists and turns to get to the engine. Here's a couple of pics of my car when I was designing the filter placement and pipe routing.

Filters are located in "top hats" glassed in to the wings under the headlights. The picture shows the left hand top hat rested in position so I could look at routing the intake pipe. (The headlamp pods have since been replaced with Sportmotive 7" upgrades.)

This shows the intake looking at the other side of the inner wing. It goes through a precisely cut hole into the inner wing.

I don't have a picture of the driving lamp area, but I will take one in the next couple of days.

The Jag is going well and we are both really enjoying it. Yes, there is a plan wink

Very tidy intake setup, figured you would have a custom setup.

Far too neat in there, what are you going to do with all that space now?

There will be dyno testing, but it will be against the version 1 intake. I can't remember what it had in the original plenum - it was a long time ago now.

Can't tell for certain from the pic but it might be prudent to keep out of fords or deep puddles if you value your engine.

2 turbos and charge coolers would fill the space up nicely. But don't tell Nic.

Martvr - yes, there is less height on the intakes (there's a bit more than it appears in the pictures, but certainly much less than standard), but I don't use the car that much in winter these days so isn't too much of a problem.
