Best way to insure for a short term?

Evening all,

I may not have the use of my car for a couple of weeks, I'll be lending it to someone who is on the insurance.

For sts and giggles I might be a very cheap, very ruined barge ( something like this).

What would be the best (read: cheapest) way of insuring it to use as a run around for 2-3 weeks?

ohhh, didn't know I could do that.

Would it matter that my 'proper' car is being used by someone else who is on the policy? I'm with these guys if it helps:
