VW T4 2.4 5cyl diesel fan switch
Discussion
Hi,
it seems that this month is one for technical problems...my dad has a VW T4 camper and when he reconnected the batteries the electric cooling fans were running despite the van having been stood unused for a couple of months. We have had a problem with this van where the battery for engine start goes flat. I have solved this but suspected that there was also a fault with the thermal switch which controls the cooling fan - please could someone tell me where the switch is located as the manual we have is not much use?
I suspect that the switch may be faulty...but the van was owned by an "electrician" and there is all sorts of suspect wiring added to the VW factory stuff. My dad thought he had bought a bargain, I think it is a bit of a lemon...
