I know this has been covered many times so could someone with a better memory point me towards the right thread? The search function appears to be under maintenance.

I want to sort out the geo on my mk1 later this month but can't make the trip to WIM as I'm short on time and mileage (classic insurance policy), so I'm looking for their recommended fast road settings to take with me to a local place - otherwise they just reset the settings to the manufacturer standard.

Any info or tips appreciated.

Cheers

Can't remember where the website is now, but I believe these are the settings:

caster: Max available, 4.5deg or more.
front camber: -1.0deg
front toe-in: 0 to 1/16 in
rear camber: -1.5deg
rear toe-in: 0 to 1/16 in

(That's what I'm going to get mine set to anyway!)

Cheers for the info - I had cold feet and rather than use other settings which might not have been right for the car I got Tony at WiM involved and he sent the recommended numbers to STS Tyre Pros in Camberley.

So far it's all good - turns in sharper and feels more planted. Amazed at the impact if I'm honest, it's one of those jobs that I never even considered before this car.

So, cheers STS and Tony at WiM.

mine, although I think it could do with a little less rear camber for wet roads, dry grip is good though

Not sure how to decipher the settings they put on mine, but the chap assured me they aligned to Tony's recommendations.

Ah. That'll explain that then. What's the issue? I've only got today to sort it out.

Is it just me. Or are the tolerances huge compared to the values being set? +2 give or take 1.9. Or I'm not interpreting that printout correctly.

Not just you, I have no idea how to read that properly (not much use as a customer handout is it!!).

Tolerances mean nothing on an adjustable chassis..... I understand everything is all ok now, i spoke to them several times during the calibration.
