Mate of mine has been offered a 1 owner 1999, 996 in red with Turbo wheels.

Full main dealer history and very clean.

What do you reckon its worth and anything other than the usual stuff to look out for?

cheers

I'd be looking for change out of £25k, as to how much and whether that would buy it is another matter

£22k is my gut instinct

My feeling is the vendor is going to be asking £24K.

Reckon thats too dear Poorcardealer?

Also what do you think the resale demand is going to be like for that car when he decides to shift it on again in 3 to 6 months time?

There will always be someone who will want a lower spec or higher mileage 996 over a 993. The same with all models of cars 360/355 etc.

Assuming that he keeps the mileage around the current figure he should look to advertise the car privately at about £23,995 in 6 mths time and be prepared to wait a while for a buyer.

I thought the 110K car I was offered was to expensive as.............it needed

2 tyres £250
service £300 minumum could be more on a high miler
paintwork £200 to sort a few dings out.

So the twenty grnad car is really a twenty one grand car, so Id have to ask £23995 on the forcourt, I think there was a man out there for it somewhere, but Id rather buy a 60-70K car for a few grand more (well 3 or 4 more)...easier to sell.

IMHO £22k in the trade, but colour is not the best. I guess Henry would have it up for £25,995 Millenium Bug/£27,995 retail?

I'd sell it to Elms (in fact I'm surprised he hasn't offered to SOR it for you )
