Do you know who owned the E30 with 856 miles on from new? Now that was a bit special!! Someone muttered it was worth about £80k!! If it were mine I would want to drive it not just sit and look at it though!
As soon as he puts miles on it, the value drops down to maybe £50kA link to my thread a few weeks ago.

We got 68 for the photo in the end. They looked amazing.
Here is a copy of a copy of the picture (taken on my phone of a test printed copy) from a cherry-picker. The actual one to be used was taken from a light aircraft. Will take a few weeks to sort out (apparently). We will all get a few memorabilia goodies of the day including; a few pictures on CD a map of where our respective car was positioned etc etc.
Mine is third black one from the right at the front. Great day, took over three hours to align them all.

Fixed!

3 photos. 1 from the air, 1 of you and your car posing in the "exact same way" as everyone else
(I turned the wheel and was told not to, I tried to stand by the car and was told I wasn't allowed to, had to crouch down) and a CD. Oh, and will be 3 weeks away as the photographer went away on holiday the next day. WTF!
P.S Sadly for you, you were parked next to the best car there.
Sorry for that Rich_W said:

Typical BMWCC I guess. Not surprised really TBH.

Are your sure about this, as in an email for Richard Baxter the £20 is for something a little more substantial........

"1 of 67numbered CD’s
Since the outset of the idea we have offered a photograph of the letter ‘M’ and a copy of the ground plan showing the position of your car, this offer still exists.
However, we have also decided to mark this occasion and help offset the cost of the Aerial photography by producing a CD which will be 1 of 67 including the race car - no other copies will exist.
This will include 25 Aerial shots, an individual shot of the car/owner and ground shots in and around the photoshoot. the form of these will be left to Darren to allow his skill in finding interesting angles - each CD will be presented in a case with printed cover and numbered certificate ? of 67 along with chassis no.
With the CD will be two A4 high quality prints one of which will be the Owner and driver, the other to be decided from the photos taken on the day and will be ready for you to fit into a frame.
The cost for this will be £20.00 inc. p&p and should be ordered via the Club office on 01225 709009, due to impending holidays please allow 4/5 weeks for these to be sent out."
????????????????
ETA, guessing that it is now to be 1 of 68 as 68 cars were in attendance for the photo................

Time will tell. Given Baxter couldn't even email me before the event to tell me the details of the day (had to ask a mate) I'm not sure I'm optimistic.
Maybe I'm just being cynical.

The guy how owns the low miler Sport Evo is Called Adam and I think he is from Northen Ireland.
I can't put my finger on that car, but something's bugging me about it. 800odd KMs and NEVER registered? Where's it done that mileage? And it was leaving a nice puddle of something (maybe water) after sitting anywhere. Plus the Rear CV boots were twisted, which again is curious given low use.Maybe I'm just being cynical.

He couldn't be ar*sed to spell my name correctly and when I pointed it out he said "it didn't matter". This was on the map of where the our cars were. So I bet when I get my stuff through my name will be spelt wrong. They will be getting it straight back in the next post. hesnotthemessiah said:

So I bet when I get my stuff through my name will be spelt wrong. They will be getting it straight back in the next post. I owned (past tense) my M3 for 7 years. And NEVER joined the club. It never struck me as run for the members benefit, or likely to move with the times. And just seemed a bit "our way or the highway" Which is probably why I only ever went to Gaydon twice as well. On a related note, did he (or any of the club officials) actually THANK the owners for coming along on the Saturday? It wouldn't have happened if not for US.
