Hi all, been on Pistonheads for years so thought it was time to put my current cars on here as i enjoy looking through these threads at others cars.
E39 M5 facelift i've owned for just over 2yrs, its garaged most of the time as its a second car. Its been a fantastic car so far and the sound is awesome.
A few shots from when i was at Bruntingthorpe last month with BMW Car Mag to compare the E39 M5 to the F10 550i.

This is the family transport, Volvo V70 D5 R-Design, had it just over a year. It replaced a 2003 V70 R AWD manual. Just couldn't afford to run 2 petrol performance cars so the best thing i ever did was swap to a diesel for everyday stuff and long journeys, great car and i think it looks stunning in passion red. Photo's are a bit poor as i took some quick shots of it the other week.

Some pic's of my Mk2 Golf 16v track car. Had this for just over 2yrs and bought it off e-bay for £352 ! with tax & mot. I've spent a bit on it to make it reliable & its got a full cage. Only ever use it at my local circuit Lydden Hill as its still road legal so i drive it to the track. These are the only pic's i have.

I've had lots of cars in the past, had Cossie's for 12 yrs then 3 M powers after & love my Volvo's,had 850R,V70R.
Thanks
Simon.

This was the old V70 R had it for 4yrs & covered 50k miles in it trouble free.

My M3 Evo that i had before the M5.

This was the very last Cossie i had. It had the RS500 eight injector setup & engine built by Graham Goode racing.

Will post some other old cars up when i get time.
Cheers

I love the Volvo estates...how has the V70 D5 been?
Bought it in May 2010 at 16500 miles its now on 32k miles. Last year the wife parked it in the multistorey carpark & it wouldn't start or do anything completely dead, the recovery guys came out & pointed at an aerial mast she had parked right under, disconnected battery & reconnected & it started straight away. Volvo have heard of this problem before & had a modified recepticale (where key fod slots in dash) fitted, never happened again.Had a modification to do with DPF as oil level was rising with diesel contamination, thats no longer a problem. Passenger window has a mind of its own (one touch plays up) still need this sorting.
Averages around 35mpg,never had it over 40 mpg on the info display though !
On the whole these problems haven't put me off it drives so much better than the previous model V70 & is much quieter in the cabin, seats are better on the old model though. May change to an XC60 when this one hits around 60k miles. Its a great car for long journeys.

Brave choice going for DK Red on a Volvo estate but it looks stunning IMO. I'm not sure why but I've got a bit of a thing for Volvos at the minute. Very nice car history BTW
Its called Passion Red, red & white were the only colours that you didn't have to pay extra for when new. I know its only a diesel Volvo but it does look the dogs when its cleaned up.
Going to post up some more pic's of other car history later.

One of my old 3dr Cossie, it was on a Q plate so was cheap at £3500 but it was very good condition with no cracks on the dash top ! Kept it for 4yrs & spent a fortune on it, big brakes, RL7's ,Coilovers, engine build,T34 etc. One of my favourite cars ever, much better than the 3 Saphs i had.
This is when it was standard.
