A mate of mine got stopped on his bike the other day doing 42 on what should be a 50 mph road (The A5) but is actually a 30 in that spot apparently.

He reckons the cop that stopped him told him if he was going 3mph faster he could have lost his license! He said that if you go 50% above the limit it's license losing territory!

Is there any truth to this?

He was ticketed for 3 points and will cough up without argument but is there any truth to what the cop said?

Would appear from posts in this forum depends if you are in an area where you consider sheep to be lovely and like harp music and leeks.

Normally over 35 in a 30 limit attracts conditional offer and 50 and over morning your Worships.
